Canyon Ceman was fired from WWE as Senior Vice President of Talent Development, but he had a couple of things going at the time of his release. It was reported that Adam Cole’s contract situation had a great deal to do with Ceman’s own release. Ceman was apparently in talks with Salina De La Renta about coming in, but that halted in a big way when he was let go.
While speaking to Fightful, Salina De La Renta confirmed reports that she was at the WWE Performance Center eariler this year. She also revealed that her time at the PC wasn’t a typical tryout.
De La Renta was in talks with Canyon Ceman about coming into WWE, but she didn’t do any promos as part of her audition process. The company simply asked her to do some “wrestling drills” and she was “not a part of a standard tryout with the company.”
After WWE released Canyon Ceman from the company “those conversations came to a halt” with WWE. Salina De La Renta seems okay with that turn in her career, because she wants to get into “the production side of wrestling” and work as a commentator as well.
Salina De La Renta did not leave the pro wrestling world, but her entrance into WWE certainly seemed to stop when WWE released Canyon Ceman over the summer.
