Roman Reigns walked out of Extreme Rules as Universal Champion once again, and he had some assistance from a malfunctioning turnbuckle. This was a big night for the Head of the Table, but his next opponent is already set in stone for Saudi Arabia.
The October 21st Crown Jewel event will take place in Saudi Arabia, marking WWE’s return to the country after taking a long break due to the pandemic. The show will also have a special start time of 1:00 PM EST so they can further cater to the Saudi fans.
BetOnline has some odds for that upcoming Universal Title match. Reigns is currently holding the favorite spot at -200 odds. Lesnar is at +150, so it is a close one. As of this writing, Reigns holds a slight edge on the betting odds.
Reigns vs Lesnar is currently the only match slated for the Crown Jewel event. The company will likely add some big matches and Goldberg vs Bobby Lashley is very possible. That match has not been confirmed yet.
The company is also reportedly holding the finals for the next King of the Ring tournament as well as the Queen’s Crown tournament at Crown Jewel. It is very possible that WWE will also call on whatever big name they can to make their return to Saudi Arabia the biggest they can.
