Extent Of WWE’s Talks With Britt Baker Revealed

WWE could certainly use someone like Britt Baker, but Vince McMahon’s company never showed interest. That didn’t stop plenty of fans from wondering during a time whether Baker and her boyfriend Adam Cole would both end up in NXT.

Adam Cole decided to let his NXT contract run up and now he is All Elite along with Baker. AEW’s resident dentist already admitted that she would be happy for Cole no matter what he decided to do.

According to a report fromFightful, Britt Baker and WWE never entered into talks. This was to avoid contract tampering. She did just re-sign a new AEW contract that will see her with the company for another multi-year term, but the belief was her contract was running up this year.

We’re told formal conversations never took place, and that WWE never made an overture towards Baker as to avoid contract tampering.

Britt Baker is arguably the biggest name in the AEW Women’s Division at this point. Her big win in the main event of AEW Grand Slam proved how much faith the company has in her. We’ll never know if WWE’s NXT brand would have given Baker that same attention, but they will have to wait even longer before entering into any talks.
