Tony Khan started out AEW with a roster full of relatively unknown stars, but that soon changed. The last couple of months saw bigger names join the company, loading up their roster at the top. It might be harder to deal with so many top stars and keep everyone happy, but Tony Khan sees that as a good problem to have.
While taping to the Associated Press, Khan discussed the current loaded state of the AEW roster. He explained how he is handling the “good problem” of having so many big names on the roster as he tries to find time for everyone.
“I think that’s a good problem for any organization to have when you have a deep bench. We have a very deep bench right now. I try to rotate who wrestles on television and give TV time to different wrestlers so we have a lot of people with momentum and can switch out the matches and keep things fresh. I think that serves you well in sports, too, when you can rotate and rest people and give experience to young talent and develop people and also rest your veterans so they don’t have to go out and do it every single week.”
AEW is set to bring their biggest show in company history to Arthur Ashe Stadium tonight for Grand Slam. It will be another landmark night for the company and Tony Khan has full intentions to keep those big moments coming. Thankfully, he has a packed roster to help him accomplish that.
