WWE books with their blinders on, but some in the company are aware of what AEW is doing. They apparently wanted to bring something special to the table this week on the longest running weekly episodic television show in history.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that a source in WWE told him that 700 people left at the 10:00 PM hour around the time that Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair were doing their segment. He then mentioned something very interesting that he was told by someone in the company. Apparently, WWE wanted to give AEW’s Ruby Riott and Britt Baker segment a run for their money.

“The funny thing is that someone also said [in WWE] that this was their version of Britt Baker vs Ruby Soho. I was like, ‘this I gotta see’ it wasn’t like Britt and Ruby. However, the funny thing about it is if you compare the two, in AEW Britt was making fun of Ruby for how she was treated and used ‘elsewhere’ whereas in this promo Charlotte is burying Alexa and making fun of how she’s used IN THIS COMPANY! Charlotte is making fun of what they are doing with Bliss in WWE. That’s not the same thing.”

Fans in attendance during RAW have come out against the report that 1,500 fans left during this part of the show.

It was noted that Charlotte Flair is supposed to be the heel in this storyline, but she also seems to be the one spitting facts about Bliss’ booking. Some fans really enjoy Alexa Bliss’ new incarnation. She is certainly driving up merchandise sales with her Lilly dolls and other apparel.

You can watch both Britt Baker and Ruby Soho and Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair’s segments below.
