It’s Tuesday night and that means a brand new episode of WWE NXT 2.0 for September 21st, and Ringside News has you covered with live play-by-play results coverage. It’s our second week of NXT 2.0 and we have a new NXT Champion. In a trilling Fatal 4-Way last week, Tommaso Ciampa emerged with goldie at his side once again. WWE hasn’t announced it Ciampa will feature on tonight’s show but it seems likely he will have a follow-up with newcomer Brok Breakker. Or maybe a new challenger will step forward?
We do know that Kushida will defend the North American Championship against Roderick Strong tonight. Can Kushida retain or will the Diamond Mine prove too much for him? Last week saw the much anticipated wedding between Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis which, shockingly, went off without a hitch. We should see the happy couple tonight, perhaps on their honeymoon?
That’s the preview for tonight’s NXT. Our live coverage will begin from 8PM right here. Let us know if you’re excited about any of it and remember to hit the refresh link below and enjoy the show!
NXT opens with a look back at last week’s reboot of the brand, which saw Tommaso Ciampa become NXT Champion.
We go live to the CWC and we have a bunch of wrestlers in the ring, including newcomer Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, and Odysey Jones. NXT Champion, Tommaso Ciampa comes out with goldie and stands in front of the new blood.
Ciampa says it took 908 days for him to get back the title he never lost. After all the hardships, the neck surgery, it was worth to stand in the ring with the title once again. Ciampa says it’s exciting to be here in NXT, things are changing, there are new faces. Things change but the passion doesn’t. He’s still NXT. Alicia is NXT. Wade Barrett, Beth Phoenix and Vic Joseph are still NXT. And the fans are the lifeblood of the brand. He’s happy to be back representing NXT and now it’s officially the A-show. Ciampa asks the fans to let the world know that we are NXT.
Cameron Grimes comes out and says he’s all fired-up. And Ciampa’s title is the rocket fuel he needs to get to the moon. Joe Gacy steps in and says, as charitable as it would be for Ciampa to grant an opportunity to Grimes… suddenly LA Knight’s music hits. Knight says he sees nothing but a lot of garbage in that ring and those fans should be chanting “you deserve it” at him. Odyssey Jones tells him to shut-up and says Knight lost twice in one night.
Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland make their way out next. Dunne tells the newcomers to make a name for themselves but all he sees is a bunch of geezers too scared to throw the first punch. Ciampa punches Dunne and a huge brawl breaks out in the ring with more joining from the locker room. Bron Breakker and Ciampa are the last two left standing in the ring after knocking Dunne and Holland out.
We jump backstage where Kay Lee Ray, Electra, B-Fab, and some girl I don’t recognise are screaming and brawling. Back to the ring and Ciampa and Breakker knock Dunne and Holland out of the ring for a second time. Ciampa holds up the title and Breakker tells the heels not to go too far because everyone wants to see this continue. He asks Dunne and Holland to grow a set and face them tonight.

Kushida is rolled back inside and Strong hits a flying knee, then a backbreaker and gets the pinfall!
As Diamond Mine are celebrating, Grayson Waller comes out. Waller says that he’s starting to realise that NXT 2.0 is a jungle, but if anyone was built to survive a jungle it’s him. So instead of waiting for an opportunity, he’s here to take one. He wants a title shot next week. Bivens says how dare he interrupt proceedings. Bivens talks to Strong and they agree to give Grayson a shot.
Tony D’Angelo is standing near the docks and he says his family has always had business dealings down there. His uncle always told him two things were important in life: business and family. But now he can add a third: his success in WWE.

Joe Gacy is sitting in the ring. He says this ring is a safe space. NXT is a place full of micro-aggressions and this is where they settle differences. He doesn’t need to use his white male privelege to get what he wants. He understands that life isn’t fair. He believes we can achieve unity and tolerance for all and he is the man to show that they can do it in this safe space.
Grimes shoots for a single leg but Gacy counters it. Gacy forces him to the ropes and swings but Grimes ducks it and hits an arm-drag. Grimes taunts Gacy before catching him with a kick to the chest. Gacy kicks Grimes and whips him to the corner for a splash and a urinage. Gacy applies a rear chinlock but Grimes breaks free and hits a few flying forearms.
