Cody Rhodes is the EVP of AEW and has remained a babyface in the company since its inception. Rhodes‘ is one of the top stars in the company, as he has competed in several memorable matches and great segments over the years.

Rhodes has done his fair share of putting over talents such as Darby Allin and recently Malakai Black.

While speaking during an AMA of Bleacher Report, Cody Rhodes stated that he will retire before ever becoming a heel in AEW.

“To go from a warm reception to an adversarial reception…I’ll retire before I become a heel. I’m not going to make decisions that are bad for our youth to see. That’s the challenge, how do I maintain where I’m at when the crowd wants to get a different flavor.”
