John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. Since 2017, John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood.

John Cena has accomplished everything there is to accomplish in WWE and has certainly contributed a lot to the pro wrestling business.

Many consider John Cena defeating JBL at WrestleMania 21 for the WWE Championship to be the moment John Cena became the face of the company.

While speaking at the Florida Supercon panel, John Cena talked about the valuable lesson JBL taught him before his WrestleMania 21 match.

“John was always great about keeping you grounded, and he did a lot for me and I’m forever thankful to him. That’s the one thing I remember from that day, him turning to me deadpan and saying, ‘You are winning!’ And almost like, ‘Get over yourself man, I’m trying to build myself up as the biggest obstacle you can overcome which is why it’s raining money and you’re going to win so that’s going to be enough for this evening so just take that and you’re going to be good.’ I really thank him for not only that lesson but he gave me a bunch of lessons through my career.”

John Cena began his WWE career back in 2002 and eventually went on to become one of the biggest names in the history of the business, transcending barriers.
