Bobby Lashley won the WWE Championship after beating the Miz on Monday Night RAW back in March. Since then, he was booked as a very dominant force and had Vince McMahon’s seal of approval. Lashley then lost that title to Big E in a huge moment that fans will always remember.

Lashley conquered every obstacle laid before him since March of this year. Lashley always had MVP by his side as his manager, who proved to be the deciding factor in many of his matches.

However, that all changed on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW as he lost the WWE Championship to Big E after he cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase.

While speaking to Complex, Big E claimed that he followed Bobby Lashley closely when Big E just started out in WWE and was determined to wrestle like Lashley.

“First of all, I have to give hats off to Bobby. I think Bobby’s had an incredible run. He carries himself like a champion, and in many ways, he’s inspirational, because—and I’ve told him this before—when I got signed in 2009, I was studying some older film. I was looking at more contemporary guys that I wanted to be like. I was watching Bobby Lashley films. There was a lot of Bobby Lashley films [sic]. He was a guy that, ‘Okay, that’s a guy in a similar vein that, if I work hard enough, one day I want to wrestle like that guy. I want to be like that guy.'”

It is likely that Bobby Lashley and MVP will think of a game plan in order to reclaim his WWE Championship from Big E. We will have to wait and see if the two will face off against each other at WWE Extreme Rules on September 26.
