Adam Cole’s AEW debut was followed by a lot of excitement about what is next for him. After his first match on Dynamite this week against Frankie Kazarian, Cole is now undefeated in All Elite Wrestling, and he is still in a tight alliance with The Elite. That union might not last forever.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Adam Cole’s direction in AEW. He noted that the company already inserted teases about Cole vs Omega in Being The Elite. If you add in Cole’s babyface reaction then that could amount to a big change for him eventually in AEW.

“Adam Cole is 100% babyface. It’s very clear that the long term, you know Adam Cole might have a fun [as a heel], but eventually he’s gonna have to go babyface. I mean it’s like they know it, because on BTE it was very clear that they are building toward Kenny Omega and Adam Cole in one of those way down the line things.”

Adam Cole gets a tremendous ovation from AEW fans out of love and respect. They are also glad to see Mr. Bay Bay is All Elite. We will have to see what’s next for the former NXT Champion, but AEW is going to do far more with Cole than turn him into a heel manager.
