Many regard CM Punk’s AEW debut last month at AEW Rampage: The First Dance to be one of the best moments in recent memory as far as the pro wrestling business is concerned. On top of that, his debut might even make it to Guinness World Records.

Punk himself absolutely loved his AEW debut and it was said that AEW had no idea what Punk was going to say in his promo during his debut on AEW Rampage.

CM Punk also stated that he wants to compete against the young talent in the company and put them over. Ricky Starks recently gave CM Punk huge praise for that as well.

While speaking to TV Insider, Adam Cole stated that CM Punk is on his Mt. Rushmore of pro wrestlers and added that he wants to go toe-to-toe with him inside the squared circle and also on the microphone.

“I’ve said for years now that if I had a Mt. Rushmore for professional wrestling, CM Punk is on that list. CM Punk is a guy who captivated me with his promos and helped me discover there was other wrestling outside WWE. He was a guy who got me into top promotions and all the independents. He is a guy I would love to go toe-to-toe with not only in the ring but on the microphone.”

Adam Cole was successful in his in-ring debut on this weeks episode of Dynamite as he defeated Frankie Kazarian. We will have to wait and see when Cole and Punk will duke it out in the company.
