Many consider CM Punk’s AEW debut last month at AEW Rampage: The First Dance to be one of the greatest moments in the company’s history and it is hard to argue why. To add to that, his debut might even make it to Guinness World Records.

Punk himself absolutely loved his AEW debut and it was said that AEW had no idea what Punk was going to say in his promo during his debut on AEW Rampage.

CM Punk also made it clear that he wants to compete against the young talent in the company and elevate them to the next level. Ricky Starks recently gave CM Punk massive props as well.

While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross talked about what the future holds for CM Punk. Ross stated that there is a year’s worth of huge matches for CM Punk in the company.

“I sat down the other day on the airplane and just made some mental notes of potential CM Punk opponents. There’s a year’s worth, at least, not counting returns. [CM Punk] is not going to wrestle every week obviously, nor should he, nor should anybody quite frankly. I love that aspect.”

CM Punk already called out Team Taz last week on AEW Dynamite and will be feuding with them for the time being. We will have to wait and see what other opponents Punk will have in the future.
