Gable Steveson is now a huge name in the world of sports due to his incredible performance at the Tokyo Olympics. WWE wanted him and they didn’t hide that fact as even Vince McMahon went all out to sign him.
WWE finally managed to sign Gable Steveson to a contract this month and put all speculation to rest as far as where the 21-year-old will go next.
It was also reported that Gable Steveson signed a unique contract with WWE, which is exclusive in nature. This means that UFC and other promotions can no longer try to take him away.
While speaking with TMZ, Paul Heyman talked about WWE signing Gable Steveson to a contract and his future in the company. Heyman stated that Steveson isn’t on Ronda Rousey’s level yet, let alone Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.
“Now, we’ll see how he does in WWE. He’s not at quite the level of a Ronda Rousey or a Brock Lesnar, certainly not of the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. So far, Gable Steveson understands to listen to the wise man and he’s doing alright with that counsel.”
WWE is also setting up a remote training facility for Gable, so it will be interesting to see how he will fare in the company once he makes his debut there.
