Booker T Told Big E He Would Become WWE Champion

Big E won the WWE Title on RAW this week and that was a huge moment for his career. It was also something that Booker T apparently saw coming from a mile away.

During Booker T’s Hall of Fame radio show, he brought up a time when he told Big E that he would become WWE Champion. This occurred after Kofi Kingston won the WWE Title, and Booker T had all the faith in the world that Big E would get his time to shine eventually.

“Over the last week, he and I actually discussed a few things. One of the things we discussed was that night after Kofi Kingston won the title. I found Big E in a spot where it seemed like he was thinking about something, and I just pulled him aside and said, ‘Hey man, don’t worry about nothing, man. Your time will come. You’re going to have your run [with the title], trust me.’” I don’t know if he fully believed it. I said, ‘Trust me, you’re going to have your run.’”

“Now, we’re here, and hopefully he’ll make the best of it. He didn’t remember it ’til I said something about it, and he goes, ‘I remember you came up to me and said you’re going to have your run.’”

Big E’s WWE Title win meant a lot to the pro wrestling world, and many celebrated with him. We’ll have to see what’s next for the New Day member, but he is just getting things started.
