Big E promised to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. This led to Big E trending in a big way.

Bobby Lashley defended his WWE Championship against Randy Orton in the main event of Monday Night RAW. Lashley successfully defended his title but the night was far from over.

Big E came out and cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase as promised. Making use of his opportunity, Big E thwarted Bobby Lashley and managed to beat him for the WWE Championship.

While speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Big E was asked about what it would’ve meant to Brodie. Big E then revealed just how close he was with Lee and stated that Lee would’ve been one of the first to congratulate him and knew he would be happy for Big E.

”He was on my mind throughout, immediately after and I love him dearly, miss him, one of my very best friends. I still stay connected with his wife. He’s someone that means so much to everyone that knew and loved him and I just wanna do my part to continue to keep shouting out my boy and keep his memory alive, just continue to let people know how incredible he was as a human and as a friend. He continues to mean so much to me. I wish he was there to hug backstage and to talk to because I know how he was a man – he would always be one of the first people to congratulate me. I do miss him and I know he would’ve been happy for me.”

Big E will carry on his responsibilities as the WWE Champion and will forever be grateful that he considered someone like Brodie Lee as his friend along the way.
