WWE lost some influential names in recent memory for varying reasons. Some saw their contracts expire, but the company elected to release a few people. This caused a hole in the roster and it might continue to grow with names like Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn joining the conversation of Superstars who might leave soon.

According to Fightful Select, Johnny Gargano’s WWE NXT contract is also running up soon. His deal is expected to expire on December 3rd, 2021. This was confirmed on Monday and WWE has not entered into contract talks with Johnny Wrestling yet.

Johnny Gargano and WWE have not entered into negotiations to extend his contract, but that WWE “expected to” in the Fall.

This is not a case like Adam Cole and Pete Dunne where their contracts came as a surprise. Gargano has been with WWE since 2015, and he worked under a per appearance deal until he was finally signed in 2016. We will have to see if he decides to stay with Vince McMahon’s company. AEW can’t sign everyone, but a guy like Johnny Gargano might be hard to pass on for Tony Khan.
