Kevin Owens’ WWE contract was restructured prior to the pandemic to give him a larger downside guarantee, but it cut a lot of time off of his deal. Now fans are waiting to see what his next move is amid teases of AEW.

It is still too early to know exactly what Kevin Owens will do, because he still has time to decide. If he does not re-sign a contract with WWE, he will be out of the company by January 31st, 2022.

According to Fightful Select, the Royal Rumble is still slated to take place in February. That means if Owens doesn’t sign a new deal he will be out of WWE before the next Royal Rumble rolls around.

This would mean Owens’ deal would expire ahead of one of the pitched dates for the Royal Rumble, which is actually being targeted for early February as of now.
