Kevin Owens brought a lot of attention on himself this week when his Twitter account received a lot of attention. He tweeted out the coordinates to Mt. Rushmore, the name of his stable with The Young Bucks and Adam Cole prior to signing with WWE, and he changed his location the “Almost There.” The fact that the Young Bucks changed their location to: “There” didn’t help slow the rapidly churning rumor mill.

Kevin Owens and Happy Corbin were slated to have a segment during WWE’s return to Madison Square Garden. That angle was cut from the show. The company also cut a women’s tag team match. Zelina Vega was obviously a bit miffed at this decision.

Ringside News asked around about the company’s decision to trim the MSG show. We were told that “the behind the scenes explanation was cut for time.”

You never know if Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard have an underlying reason for their decisions. Their call to cut Owens and Corbin’s segment could have been motivated by recent reports of the Prizefighter’s expiring contract, but that was not included in the official reason given backstage.

As Ringside News exclusively reported, any talk of Kevin Owens leaving WWE is premature at this point. There are a lot of factors that could play into his final decision. Still, removing Owens from such an important show might not help WWE’s side when it comes to talking about a new contract.
