John Cena shockingly returned at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view back in July and immediately got involved in a feud with Roman Reigns. Their feud culminated in the main event of WWE SummerSlam for the Universal Championship. Cena couldn’t defeat Roman Reigns, but he did get destroyed by former adversary Brock Lesnar after the conclusion of the event.

John Cena already took to social media and informed fans that he will see them soon, after his shocking loss to Roman Reigns at WWE SummerSlam.

The leader of Cenation then added that he still wants to contribute to the company once he makes his return after he is done with his obligations in Hollywood, which might take a while.

While speaking to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, John Cena admitted that he finished second place to Roman Reigns after returning to the company.

“Dude, it was great. I had a wonderful match. I finished second place… I had a month off and they [WWE] were like, ‘Hey, you wanna come to work?’ I was like, ‘Do I?!’ and they said, ‘Live audiences are back,’ and I love live audiences.

That was nice [wearing jorts again]. There is no better feeling than being in front of a live audience. I’m so grateful to have all of you here. I’m so grateful to be back with a live audience. There is no other energy like performing or entertaining, telling stories or just shooting the s*** in front of a live audience. So thank you very much.”

John Cena wrestled in a dark match after this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown at Madison Square Garden. We will have to wait and see when John Cena will return to the company.
