WWE NXT is currently undergoing a huge change in its structure, much to the dismay of fans all over the world. The new version of NXT will come complete with a different look and feel, especially the new colorful NXT logo.

WWE decided to bring Friday Night SmackDown to Madison Square Garden this week to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The episode ended up setting an all-time record for the show as well.

However, it seems the New York crowd did not enjoy a promo for the brand new NXT that was shown during the show. A fan took to Twitter and uploaded a clip of the crowd showering boos at NXT.

Did not expect #NXT to get boos here when they showed it #SmackDown#msg#wrestlingcommunity

NXT and New York have a very special relationship as the NXT TakeOver Brooklyn events were some of the best shows under the black and gold brand, right from 2015.

New York crowds are seen as a litmus test when it comes to how a new idea will be viewed by the WWE Universe. From the looks of it, NXT’s chances don’t seem all that good right now.
