There are quite a lot of problems with WWE’s current product that has left fans disgruntled and frustrated over the years. This includes feuds that don’t go anywhere, teams splitting up for no reason and storylines not making sense. The disinterest of the fans is reflected in the decline in ratings of Monday Night RAW over the past few years.
There are also other issues with the company, namely the way NXT Superstars are treated once they are called up to the main roster. Karrion Kross’ recent booking is one of many examples.
WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley previously discussed WWE has a problem with AEW in a video that went viral as many fans agreed with everything that he said.
While speaking on Sean Waltman’s Pro Wrestling 4 Life podcast, Mick Foley doubled down on issues he has with WWE, namely the company’s lack of continuity in the storylines due to abrupt changes in the storyline after Vince McMahon rips up the script.
“Well, [Chris] Jericho in that talk with Busted Open said, ‘We don’t put a line through our show an hour before it airs,’ and if people don’t know, Vince [McMahon] will do that. My son is a part of the writing team. I would never be able to handle being on a writing team. I take a lot of pride in things I write, and to see somebody rip it up in front of you, it would kind of send me heading for the exits. But you lose your continuity.”
“When you promise people two or three different matches the next week, and then they don’t take place and you don’t explain why, and then you have another show that does a really good job of telling you what’s going to take place next week, and they also do a very good job of telling you what’s taking place on that show, even with graphics. You’re watching the show, you’re watching a match and then they tell you what you’re going to see in the upcoming two hours, and I think that’s really smart. I know Vince thinks he works his best under pressure, but you can’t have continuity that way.”
Mick Foley even got a lot of heat on him because of what he said but it doesn’t seem he will stop telling it as it is as WWE’s current product continues to become a subject of ridicule for many.
