Al Snow was a babyface in the ring and he’s a hero in real life. He recently saved a child’s life from a riptide.

This all went down on Thursday morning as a child jumped in the water at Santa Rosa Beach in Destin, Florida. Snow heard yelling and screaming, so he took action.

TMZ reports that Al Snow looked around and saw a boy getting pummeled by the waves and getting pulled under. The 58-year-old leader of the JOB Squad said there was a lifeguard on duty, but he took action. “I knew she wasn’t going to make it in time,” he said.

“I made it, thank God. And I caught him just by the arm just as a wave started to pull him even further out. If I hadn’t have grabbed him, I think he’d have probably went out to sea. That would have been it.”

This was a great feat of heroism, and the kind of story we needed to read today. We also have to give Al Snow tons of props for taking action and getting the job done.
