WWE produced RAW this week without Vince McMahon this week. They saw a slight dip in viewership due to the Labor Day holiday, but there were still some changes to the show despite Vince McMahon’s absence.

This week’s episode of RAW saw the tag team turmoil match stop half-way through and then complete in the main event. PW Insider reports that this match was actually changed up a bit.

The original plan called for the match to headline the entire show. Then a call was made to chop the match into two sections.

Ringside News has been able to confirm this report, and we can also attest to the fact that this change was not called during the show. Splitting the tag team turmoil match in two parts was the plan in the script and this was not an audible that they called due to losing fan attention.

We’ll have to see how WWE books things from now on, but splitting up a tag team turmoil match like this was an interesting choice.
