AEW Dynamite made its debut in October 2019 and since then has worked hard to provide an alternate product to what fans see in WWE. For the most part, they have succeeded, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.

AEW has all the momentum in the world right now thanks to the debuts of CM Punk, Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole in the company. Many fans believe Vince McMahon will finally acknowledge AEW as proper competition.

While speaking on the latest episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray said that WWE will never consider AEW as direct competition until they run their weekly shows on Monday or Friday night.

“I don’t think that WWE is going to consider anybody competition until somebody shows up on Monday night or Friday night, or affects their merchandise sales, or affects their global penetration, you know, as an entertainment conglomerate that uses the entire world as their playing field. I think the WWE is gonna do their own thing these days, and they’re going to let AEW do their own thing.”

Eric Bischoff believes AEW will soon close the gap with WWE in the future. While AEW certainly has a lot of room for improvement, they are definitely on the right path and the next couple of months will be a crucial period of time for the company.
