The Outsiders, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, made a lot of noise for WCW back in the day. That ignited the Monday Night Wars, and AEW had their own pair of big debuts to make at All Out. CM Punk believes they topped Hall and Nash.

While speaking to the media after AEW All Out, CM Punk revealed his belief that Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson’s debuts for All Elite Wrestling are actually bigger than those of Hall and Nash in WCW all those years ago.
“And as long as we keep them engaged, and keep them happy, and to bring it back around, that’s what we’re doing. I’m not [Hulk] Hogan. I’m not [Randy] Savage. Daniel Bryan and Adam Cole, they’re not The Outsiders. I see the parallels. This is totally different, and I’ll go ahead and say it, and people can quote me and they’ll be pissed off about it. To me, this is bigger.”
Only time will tell if Cole and Danielson’s debuts for AEW will be “bigger” than Nash and Hall’s were in WCW. They certainly have enough of the pro wrestling world’s attention. The manner in which AEW books them from this point on will be the real determining factor.
