Adam Cole appeared after the pay-per-view where he spoke to the press for a bit. He was asked about his decision to join All Elite Wrestling, and the former NXT Champion was quite candid.

Cole admitted that he had “an excellent” 4-year journey in NXT, but that came to an end. He also “knew for a while” that he wanted to join AEW, so it was “a fairly easy” decision to make for him.

Adam Cole’s WWE NXT contract ran up in July, but he signed a short extension that saw him stick around until NXT TakeOver: 36. After he lost that 2 out of 3 falls match to Kyle O’Reilly, Cole moved on without ever receiving a main roster call-up. There is a reason why Vince McMahon was trending after All Out was over.

We will have to see what Adam Cole is able to do in AEW. He is now a part of The Elite within the company as a heel. Aligning himself with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks also means he is positioned at a spot right on top of the roster.
