Ever since its inception in 2019, AEW has always strived to better their product and that has remained its goal even now. They also have a roster full of incredibly talented pro wrestlers that put on great performances for fans.
With the signing of stars such as CM Punk and others, many fans continue to wonder whether the top stars in the company have any form of creative control when it comes to their booking.
Back in WCW, the likes of Hulk Hogan had creative control as far as their booking was concerned, which led to some disastrous results.
While speaking during an AEW All Out media call, Tony Khan made it clear that no one in the company has any form of creative control and that includes even CM Punk.
“Not one person, including Mr. Punk and everyone on the roster, has creative control. It’s not like WCW and that is one of the issues with WCW. When you have a person who has creative control in their contract, it can hold up the show. I don’t know how you get through TV doing that. I can’t imagine if I had to deal with that. What I do have is a lot of people I want to sit down and talk to and hear what they want to say.”
AEW All Out is set to take place on September 5th and it promises to be a memorable night of pro wrestling. It is unlikely any stars will get creative control anytime soon from the looks of it.
