CM Punk took the pro wrestling world by storm after making his debut on AEW Rampage: The First Dance. In fact, his debut might even make it to Guinness World Records from the looks of it.
CM Punk has a deep love for professional wrestling and many legendary pro wrestlers who came before him. That especially includes WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart, for whom Punk has a lot of respect.
On this week’s episode of AEW Rampage, CM Punk was part of the commentary team for the main event of the show that featured his upcoming opponent Darby Allin.
Many fans also noticed that Punk was wearing a Bret Hart Montreal Screwjob t-shirt, which is officially licensed by The Hitman himself and can be bought here. The shirt brings significance to the Montreal Screwjob, that took place at Survivor Series 1997 and changed the pro wrestling world forever.
Punk was seen wearing the same shirt during several media appearances while he was promoting Heels last week as well.
CM Punk is set to make his in-ring debut in AEW as he will be facing off against Darby Allin at AEW All Out on September 5th. We will have to wait and see how CM Punk will fare in the match.
