WWE has a lot of things that they need to get in order before their September 26th Extreme Rules event goes down in Columbus, Ohio. The company got to work on that this week during RAW, and there are already a few matches to expect.
It appears that Bobby Lashley will square off against Randy Orton at the show. It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that is the plan.
Roman Reigns will defend the Universal Title against Finn Balor during tonight’s SmackDown television show on Fox. It was noted that “one would think an angle for whatever Reigns is doing on the PPV” will materialize during the blue brand’s show.
Also, Charlotte Flair lost that non-title match against Nia Jax. Their match was chaotic and crumbled into a “worked shoot” due to miscommunication. It appears that fans will see them battle again at Extreme Rules.
The Usos appear to be feuding with the Street Profits, and Shinsuke Nakamura vs Apollo Crews seems to be the program with the IC Title in play. Sheamus vs Drew McIntyre for the United States Title was seemingly set up this week. Also, Shotzi & Nox will likely get their shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles after celebrating multiple non-title wins over Natalya and Tamina.
It was also previously announced by the venue that Bianca Belair will face Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Women’s Title. You can check out the projected card below.
