Following the tragic death of former WCW and Impact Wrestling wrestler Daffney Unger, WWE reportedly sent a text message to its entire talent roster offering them mental counseling. The text included a contact number that Superstars may call if they’re having a tough time right now.
According to a report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE Superstars were “just texted the following” which offered assistance in case anyone is dealing with a hard time right now.
“As a reminder to our Talent, if you are dealing with a difficult personal matter and would like to speak with someone to get the support you need, please don’t hesitate to contact [Counseling Company Name Withheld] at [NUMBER DELETED] or WWE Medical.”
Daffney Unger passed away at the age of 46, which was confirmed by her family. SHIMMER Wrestling also confirmed the sad news with the below tweet:
“We are very sad to have to announce the passing of Shannon Spruill aka Daffney Unger @screamqueendaff. We are posting this at the request of her family. Please respect their privacy at this trying time. I will miss you my logical sister from another mister.” -Lexie Fyfe
