WWE is changing up NXT in a big way. That will stretch far beyond the kind of Superstar they are looking to recruit. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, and a few others were in control of the black and gold brand. It appears that is about to change in a huge way as the brand shifts leadership.
During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that he was told by multiple people that leadership in NXT will change when they go back to live television. In fact, it will be under Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard’s creative command.
“I have been told by several people that when they go back to live shows that this will be a Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard production. I want you all to remember that and I want you to watch the show if that is the case, because I was told repeatedly by fans that Vince had to be booking NXT for over a year now, and I told you that Vince wasn’t booking NXT and you didn’t believe me. Well, it appears that very soon he is going to be in charge of NXT.”
We will have to see what happens when Vince McMahon takes the reins from Triple H and the rest of the NXT creative team. It appears that Prichard’s creative influence in WWE will change even more. This could be very interesting, to say the least.
