WWE taped several weeks’ worth of NXT and fans are now seeing the results from those tapings. The USA Network wasn’t 100% thrilled about the idea of NXT becoming a taped show, because that is not what they paid for. Thankfully, NXT plans to make a return to live television soon enough.
According to a report from PW Insider, WWE plans to start their live broadcasts again on September 14th. That will give the black and gold brand a few more weeks of taped episodes.
That first live episode will feature the wedding of Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell. We will get to see NXT’s first wedding as the brand shifts focuses.
A new logo was revealed for NXT and a remodeling is expected in the Capitol Wrestling Center. We’re not sure how WWE will change the NXT brand, but it is not expected to look the same at all after they return from this set of tapings.
The changes in NXT go beyond their television presentation. The company has also shifted their focus on recruitment. It will be interesting to see how NXT evolves in the months to come, but they are already setting up certain Superstars for much larger pushes.
