CM Punk made his All Elite Wrestling debut on last week’s AEW Rampage: The First Dance, a move that created a lot of buzz for the company. Tony Schiavone considered it the greatest debut in pro wrestling history.

Punk himself absolutely loved his AEW debut and he has singlehandedly became the most talked-about pro wrestler on the planet right now, much to the delight of Mick Foley. CM Punk is also set to face off against Darby Allin at AEW All Out on September 5 in his in-ring debut.

While speaking with Sports Illustrated, CM Punk was asked whether he was “prepared” to take Allin’s suicide dive. Punk then compared the move to biking into a semi truck.

No (laughs). I was biking a little bit. I got a full head of steam and I ran right into the back of a semi. I’m almost there.

It remains to be seen how well CM Punk week perform in his in-ring debut for AEW and if he will win the match or not.
