WWE Champion Bobby Lashley has proven himself to be a very dominant champion over the past few months. He has Vince McMahon’s number and has the privilege of calling him anytime he wants. On top of that, Lashley is also open to fighting in Bellator again in the future.
For several months, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre feuded for the WWE Championship, ever since Lashley won the title from The Miz back in March. In each of their encounters since then, Bobby Lashley has managed to win each time.
Their feud finally came to an end after the WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, where Drew McIntyre was defatted by Bobby Lashley and lost the chance to challenge for the title as long as Lashley was the champion.
While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Drew McIntyre talked about his rivalry with Bobby Lashley. McIntyre stated that it was an honor to help elevate Bobby Lashley to the next level.
“I had an opportunity to help cement Bobby as champion, and to do that for a top-level performer was an honor. I’m extremely happy for him, he’s someone that earned and deserves all his success.”
Bobby Lashley is likely to face off against Goldberg in Saudi Arabia for the WWE Crown Jewel event in October. On the other hand, it is unknown what the company has in store for Drew McIntyre at this moment.
