This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW featured RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair facing off against Nia Jax in a non-title match. However, the match was a very bizarre one, to say the least. So much so, that it even left Mick Foley confused.
Both competitors delivered stiff shots to each other and the match also included some awkward sports that made fans concerned, especially when Nia Jax delivered a botched backwards suplex to Charlotte Flair.
It was said that Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax tried to work a shoot with their match on Monday Night RAW. Now it seems there is more to the story than initially thought.
According to PWInsider, the botches that took place in the match were due to a lack of communication between Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax. It even resulted in an actual confrontation between the two inside the ring.
PWInsider.com is told by several sources that it was exactly what it appeared to be – a match that went awry and led to some legitimate moments where real slaps and punches were lobbed after there was some sort of breakdown in communication. Briefly, there was a legitimate confrontation inside the ring. By the end of the match, Jax and Flair were back on the same page and the finish went as originally booked.
Due to the finish going as planned, it seems Nia Jax will be feuding with Charlotte Flair for her RAW Women’s Title in the coming months.
