Welcome to Ringside News’ live results, highlights, winners and reactions for the August 30th, 2021 episode of WWE RAW.
Start time for tonight’s show is 8:00 PM EST. Match-by-match highlights and results from the show will take place on this very page, so you should update frequently to get the latest happenings. Feel free to leave any reactions in the comment section below.
Tonight’s RAW will kick-off with an open challenge by the Archer of Infamy. Damian Priest will put his new United States Championship on the line to anyone willing to step up. And one person we know it won’t be is the former Champion, Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior will be facing the All Mighty WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley in a non-title match after the two had a falling out last week. Meanwhile Goldberg has promised to come for Lashley’s soul after he attacked his son, although that doesn’t seem likely to happen until Crown Jewel.
The Miz Vs. John Morrison was scheduled for tonight’s show but WWE.com hasn’t mentioned the match, so we’re going to assume it’s been put off at the time of writing. One match that is going ahead however, is Doudrop versus her former “friend”, Eva Marie. And that’s all we know about tonight’s RAW, although you can expect to see the likes of RK-Bro, Drew McIntyre, Charlotte Flair, and much more.
That’s the preview for tonight’s RAW. Our live coverage will begin from 8PM right here. Let us know if you’re excited about any of it and remember to hit the refresh link below and enjoy the show!
This week’s RAW opens with the United States Champion, Damian Priest, making his way to the ring.
Priest says he’s always wanted to do this, then welcomes us to Monday Night RAW. He says he became U.S Champion at SummerSlam and the fans chant “you deserve it”. Priest says he wants to show the title the respect it deserves, the same way past Champion’s like Jeff Hardy or John Cena have. Unlike Bobby Lashley, who showed what kind of Champion he is when he ran away last week. That won’t be him, ever. And that’s why he’s offering an open challenge tonight.
Sheamus interrupts Priest and makes his way to the ring to massive boos. Sheamus says he agrees with Priest, Lashley is a coward that runs from things he doesn’t like. But that’s not him. And he appreciates Priest’s willingness to fight but he’s going to knock his teeth out with a Brogue kick and take his gold back. Drew McIntyre comes out and says, as much as he’d like to see Priest beat Sheamus for the hundredth time, he thinks everyone would like to see something fresh. And the U.S Championship is the one title that has always eluded him. Drew proposes a title match tonight and Priest likes it but Sheamus argues.
MVP and Bobby Lashley come out to boos and MVP asks them to hold their applause. The All Mighty wanted to hold an open challenge every week, like Priest, but the problem is… they get interrupted by a loud Goldberg chant. MVP says that Goldberg has been dealt with, in the same way that Lashley has already beaten everyone. So who is there for an open challenge? It’s not good for business. But what is good for business, would be Lashley beating Priest and taking the U.S Championship for himself.
Suddenly RK-Bro join the party. Orton says everything MVP just said sucks and Lashley is a greedy son-of-a-bitch. He wants something he can’t have and that’s a second title. Riddle says it’s physically impossible to hold two Championship’s but then realise he and Randy have two. Lashley says Randy’s right, he is greedy, so maybe he should take their tag titles instead and he’ll have three. Riddle says, since the word of the day is “open challenge”, how about Lashley and MVP challenge them for the titles tonight? Orton points out that that isn’t how open challenges work but MVP says they accept.
Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce come out and tell everyone to hit the brakes. They have two major matches on their hands. They make it official; MVP and Lashley face RK-Bro for the RAW Tag Team Titles; then Damian Priest will defend against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre! All the title holders lift their belts up and pose but then out comes Rhea Ripley and she makes her way to the ring for a match after the break.
