Goldberg Says He Needs Knee Surgery After Facing Bobby Lashley At SummerSlam

Goldberg has one match left in his WWE deal and a new report stated that will happen in Saudi Arabia. As he prepares for his eventual second collision with Bobby Lashley for the WWE Title, Goldberg is going to enjoy a bit of time to explore his other interests.

WWE’s camera caught up with Goldberg and asked him about the extent of his injuries after facing Bobby Lashley at SummerSlam. The match had to be stopped when Goldberg couldn’t carry on. Then Lashley took out Goldberg’s son Gage on top of it all. Goldberg admitted that a surgery is needed to correct the issue created in Allegiant Stadium, but he’s still coming for Lashley’s soul.

“I have ligament damage and I have a pending knee surgery, does that answer your question? I really don’t care,” Goldberg said. Then he stopped getting into his truck and continued speaking, “what I do care about is that dirty son of a bitch Bobby Lashley and what he did to my son at SummerSlam. I just left the house, Gage’s shoulder is all jacked up, his neck hurts. God knows what a guy that size could have done to my son. So, the objective has changed. I’m not coming for the WWE Championship and I will rip it out of his chest.”

That was quite an intense promo from Goldberg, and he’ll have quite a fight on his hands for Lashley’s soul. This could be an interesting storyline for Crown Jewel, a show that is already stacked with King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments planned.
