Charlotte Flair Told Andrade To ‘Spread His Wings’ & Leave WWE

Former WWE Superstar Andrade El Idolo had a solid run in NXT where he even won the NXT Championship, but his main roster run in comparison left much to be desired. He was finally granted his WWE release after WWE Fastlane back on March 21st.

Since his release, fans have been wondering which pro wrestling promotion Andrade El Idolo will call home next. That question was finally answered as Andrade El Idolo made his debut in AEW back in June.

While speaking with Renee Paquette on Oral Sessions, Charlotte Flair talked about Andrade leaving WWE. Flair revealed that she advised him to spread his wings and leave the company.

“When Manny (Andrade) asked me back in March, he felt deflated from not being on TV and what was happening, ‘What should I do? Tell me.’ I was like, ‘I can’t tell you what to do and I can’t beg you to stay even though our life is together on the road because you’ll resent me. You need to spread your wings and do what you need to do. If you want to come back, I’ll always be here and I’ll always support you.’

Andrade El Idolo is set to face off against PAC at AEW All Out on September 5th. We will have to wait and see who will come out on top in the match.
