AEW is primed to add several new members to their roster very soon, as CM Punk will be the first surprise of many. We previously reported how Bryan Danielson is expected at All Out and even more names are expected. According to Tony Khan, he has always been in recruitment mode for the company.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Tony Khan was very tight-lipped about Bryan Danielson coming into the company. Then he was asked a more blanketed question about whether fans should expect more roster additions in general. That was met with a more affirmative response.
“I’m definitely going to make multiple additions over the next four to six months. I think there will some activity in the near future. I’m not going to say what it is, and I don’t think anyone would want me to just like I don’t think they would have wanted me to with any confirmation going into the First Dance and how that was going to come off. I definitely will be active and have been active in signing people from day one in this company and recruiting talent is key to any pro wrestling company.”
Tony Khan went on to say that “I believe we’ve built as good a roster as anyone can in this amount of time.” They certainly have a loaded lock room full of talent, some people were huge surprises to see them end up in Tony Khan’s company. We’ll have to see what’s next in this situation, but AEW’s roster is going to see plenty of new faces soon enough.
