Ever since Matt Riddle signed with WWE, he has been one of the mainstays of WWE television, be it in NXT or the main roster. His in-ring skills are one of the best in the company and he already has a good fan following. Prior to making his main roster debut, Matt Riddle mentioned on numerous occasions that he wanted to face Brock Lesnar and retire him for good. Matt Riddle and Brock Lesnar had a confrontation backstage during last year’s Royal Rumble, where Brock Lesnar said he never wants to work with Riddle.

Earlier this year, Matt Riddle stated that he really wants to face off against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania someday. Last year, Riddle also stated that he believes Brock Lesnar hated him.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Matt Riddle talked about possibly working with Brock Lesnar. Riddle made it clear that he believes he won’t ever have a match with The Beast.

“When we had our little back and forth backstage at the Royal Rumble, I think about two years ago at this point now, he did not like me. Ever since I was a kid, people either hated me or loved me and I think I just rubbed them the wrong way just like I rubbed Bill [Goldberg] the wrong way. I made it a point to make myself valuable and I felt like at that point when I talked to Brock, I wasn’t valuable enough to him.”

Riddle has certainly improved a lot in the past couple of years, so it remains to be seen whether he will ever compete against Brock Lesnar somewhere down the line.
