One of the most common complaints in WWE right now is Charlotte Flair’s booking in the company. Flair continues to be criticized for getting multiple shots at titles which other WWE Superstars deserved far more than she did. Despite all the backlash, WWE is set on pushing Flair to the moon and that is unlikely to stop anytime soon. It seems she worked extra hard after her return following WrestleMania 37.

Charlotte Flair also missed out on WrestleMania 37 and she would also reveal the real reason why she couldn’t compete at the Show of Shows this year as well.

Charlotte Flair’s in-ring work is second to none and always got constant praise, but her promo abilities were a different story entirely. Flair wanted to rectify that matter as well as she could.

While speaking to Renee Paquette on Oral Sessions, Charlotte Flair talked about wanting to be better on the microphone and explained how she managed to improve in that aspect.

“When I came back from COVID and missing WrestleMania, I said the one thing I need to get better at is promos. I didn’t think they were terrible or great, I thought they were whatever. I wanted to show improvement. Always trying to show improvement is what matters. It keeps people engaged.

I worked on it. I’ve had acting classes before, but for me, with promos, I always got in my head where I was like, ‘I have to say everything word for word,’ if the sentence didn’t come out right…it’s okay to take a pause and talk like a human and not be robotic and feel it. Know what the story is and say it. I had to tell myself, ‘If I mess up, it’s okay, you’re human, people mess up.’ Once I started accepting that, that’s when the promo started to come. I’m more confident this year than I was last year. It’s just feeling it. I was always so scared of like, ‘Can I say that? Can I not?’ No, it doesn’t matter. Say it. Go with it. Typing it out for me works really well. I memorize in sections and I take bits and pieces and believe in what I’m saying.”

Charlotte Flair won the RAW Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam as she defeated Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. It will be interesting to see how Charlotte Flair’s current reign will be booked in the coming weeks.
