WWE Chairman Vince McMahon oversees everything that goes on in the company, right down to the most minute of details. He is also behind the recent mass releases in NXT, actions Triple H has no say in whatsoever. McMahon also has his own vision for NXT and it will result in significant changes for the brand. Samoa Joe thinks positively of Vince McMahon’s intentions for NXT.
Recently, WWE president Nick Khan made some controversial comments when it came to how they will train WWE NXT Superstars as the brand will be undergoing a huge revamp in the next couple of weeks. AEW President Tony Khan would fire back regarding how WWE trains its NXT Superstars.
While speaking on So Catch by Hal 2, Samoa Joe was asked about what Vince McMahon thinks of NXT. Joe stated that McMahon sees NXT as the future of the company.
“I think he perceives it as the future of his company. I think that he’s heavily invested in it. It’s funny, you know, I read all this stuff that I hear from people. At the same time, he’s probably the biggest proponent of its existence, and much of what has happened in it thus far. NXT – it’s the future of WWE, and it’s a big reason why I’m excited to be kind of associated with it. Because I get to delve into the future.”
Samoa Joe became the NXT Champion after defeating Karion Kross for the title at NXT Takeover 36. We will have o wait and see how he will be booked as NXT will be undergoing changes in the next couple of weeks.
