Adam Cole’s time in WWE is over and he wrestled his final match at NXT TakeOver: 36 in a losing effort against Kyle O’Reilly. Now the pro wrestling world is waiting on Mr. Bay-Bay’s next move, but he won’t be on AEW television this week.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Adam Cole’s short-term extension is up on August 27th. He will not be able to be on AEW Dynamite or Rampage this week due to that little snag. That’s not to say AEW isn’t in his future.

We’ve learned more about the immediate future of Adam Cole following his NXT Takeover 36 loss to Kyle O’Reilly. If you’re hoping to see Cole pop up on this week’s episodes of AEW Dynamite or Rampage, that won’t be happening.

It was also reported that WWE is expected to offer Cole some kind of deal before the week ends. We will have to see if he takes that offer.
