Since leaving WWE back in 2014, many fans simply lost hope that CM Punk would ever return to pro wrestling. However, the impossible happened as CM Punk debuted on this week’s AEW Rampage: The First Dance. He was in talks with AEW for quite a long time as well. It seems Punk paid for all the ice cream bars himself as well.

Tony Schiavone considered it the greatest debut in pro wrestling history. Fans and pro wrestlers alike were delighted to see him in AEW. This included even WWE Superstars.

CM Punk even gave fans in attendance free ice cream bars, which was certainly a very nice gesture from the Second City Saint.

According to Pretty Cool Ice Cream on Instagram, it was entirely CM Punk’s idea and it was in the works for two years. On top of that, CM Punk paid for all the ice cream bars out of his own pocket.

He came to us on his own and asked us to help him do this 2 years ago, and finally the moment was right. Our small team worked tirelessly to hand-make every bar.

CM Punk wrote the check for the entire bill himself.

CM Punk is already set to square off against Darby Allin at the AEW All Out Pay-Per-View on September 5. He is also set to appear on AEW Dynamite next week. We will have to wait and see how CM Punk will be booked from now on.
