WWE changed RAW from a two-hour program to a weekly three-hour show. Those three-hour broadcasts used to be special whenever WWE had a longer episode to present, but three hours every week can become a grueling task for fans. WWE President Nick Khan would make the show even longer if he could.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani for BT Sport, Nick Khan expressed his desire to make RAW a four-hour show, because it would make the company more money. He would also make SmackDown and eight-hour show. Then he admitted that there is only so much television their wonderful creative team can create in a week.

“Listen, from my point of view RAW would benefit from being four hours. So, we would get paid more money and SmackDown could be 8 hours, but I understand with our creative folks there’s only so much great content they can do on a weekly basis, so we’re good on the 3 and 2 basis.”

Obviously, Nick Khan was joking, because the company has no intention to change RAW or SmackDown’s runtime. They seem happy with the current setup, but it also shows that Khan is always looking for new ways to turn extra profit for the company.
