WWE Hall Of Famer Edge’s road through WWE saw him wrestle at SummerSlam this week against Seth Rollins in Allegiant Stadium. Edge’s feud with Rollins featured a ‘brood bath’ on Seth Rollins during this past week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. The Rated R Superstar proved that he isn’t one to mess with when he made The Messiah tap out on Saturday night.
At WWE SummerSlam, Edge and Seth Rollins finally duked it out in what many fans considered to be the best match of the night. When all was said and done, Edge emerged victorious after making Seth Rollins tap out to the Crossface Sleeper.
While speaking during a backstage interview during the match, Edge was asked about how it felt to make Seth Rollins tap out. Edge stated that Rollins underestimated him and sent a warning to Rollins to stay away from now on.
Seth lit something up in me and pushed me into a really really dark place. It’s not fun to go there because it’s hard to come out of there, but I knew I needed to. I think Seth underestimated me. As much as I respect his ability, if Seth is smart, he stays the hell away from me.
Judging by what Edge said, it seems the rivalry between Seth Rollins and Edge is far from over as it is likely Rollins will want to exact revenge on Edge after his loss at WWE SummerSlam. We will have to see what’s next for both Rollins and Edge, but the Rated R Superstar definitely made a statement at SummerSlam.
