Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks were engaged in a heated rivalry for the past month. They were also pulled from two house shows last weekend and there was concern that they might not make it for SummerSlam.

Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened as Sasha Banks didn’t appear for the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view at all. Instead, Bianca Belair had a different opponent. As Ringside News exclusively reported, Becky Lynch’s SummerSlam return was a big change of plans.

Bianca Belair defended her Smackdown Women’s Championship against a returning Becky Lynch. She would lose the title to Lynch in a mere 26 seconds, much to the dismay of fans.

While speaking at the SummerSlam after-party, Bianca Belair opened up about Sasha Banks being absent from the event. Belair stated that Banks had been going through a rough couple of weeks.

All I can say is, tonight it couldn’t happen with Sasha Banks, but coming soon, it will be a time where Sasha and I are in the ring again. So, we are definitely going to finish what we started off, and you know, it’s been a tough couple of weeks for Sasha Banks, and I was ready to put an end to her tonight. So whenever that time happens, I’m going to be ready to put an end to her and move over to Becky,”

It is not known what exactly happened to Sasha Banks but we hope she will be able to return to WWE television sooner rather than later. Banks still has a lot of unfinished business with Bianca Belair.
