CM Punk made his debut on this week’s AEW Rampage: The First Dance, in a move that created a lot of buzz for the company. CM Punk is expected to do a lot more than just wrestle in the ring.

CM Punk was in talks with AEW for quite a long time as well. Fans and pro wrestlers alike were delighted to see him in AEW. This included Tony Schiavone.

After the conclusion of the show, Tony Schiavone took to Twitter and gave massive props to CM Punk’s AEW debut as he proclaimed it to be the greatest night in the history of professional wrestling.

I have been asked many times: Hey Schiavone, what is the greatest night in the history of our great sport? My answer: This! #CMPunk #AEW

It should be noted that Tony Schiavone tends to get far too excited and make huge claims such as this often, as he has done so on numerous occasions during his time in WCW. Still, CM Punk’s debut was arguably the biggest night in AEW history.

Regardless, it is certain that CM Punk’s AEW debut ranks among the best pro wrestling moments in recent years and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
