Juventud Guerrera is a veteran in the pro wrestling world who tore up the scenes during the heydays of WCW. He was also one of the labors for Chris Jericho before Jericho could face off against MJF. MJF would ultimately beat Jericho on last week’s AEW Dynamite, much to the dismay of fans.
Guerrera’s match against Chris Jericho received a lot of praise as both competitors gave it their all in order to come out on top. Of course, Jericho was the victor in the match.
However, it seems Juventud Guerrera’s AEW debut might not have even happened in the first place as travel problems made him almost miss the math.
While speaking to The Wrestling Inc. Daily, Juventud Guerrera revealed that he had issues reaching the venue for AEW Dynamite due to being stuck in customs for a very long time.
“They flew me in a day before. At this time, it was three hours in customs. I missed the connecting flight from Houston to Jacksonville. I called the company. I called Chris Jericho. They’re like, ‘Okay, don’t worry,’ and then the next flight, it was 10 in the morning, but that was sold out and then the following flight, it was 11:30.
“I was to arrive in Jacksonville at 3:30. I was like, no, this is my comeback, and I can’t be there late because of customs. I was trying to relax because there’s nothing you can do so just relax. They got me a hotel in Houston, and then I was rushing. I gotta wake up at six in the morning, go to the airport, take the plane and then arrive in Jacksonville. I got there at 1:00, so they picked me up and then straight to the arena. A lot of emotions in between.”
Chris Jericho decided to take some time off and do serious soul-searching after his defeat at the hands of MJF. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Jericho whenever he returns.
