Doudrop was known as Piper Niven throughout the pro wrestling world prior to joining the WWE main roster. Then they changed her name to Doudrop as they partnered her up with Eva Marie. Vince McMahon loves the gimmick, and it stuck with her. That brought an interesting reaction from fans, but the former Piper Niven decided to take the ball and run with the strange name.
While talking to Wrestling Inc, Doudrop revealed her initial reaction to WWE informing her of her new name. She might now have known how to take things at first, but then she quickly decided to take the ball and run with it, because that’s how she rolls.
“Not going to lie, at first they were like, ‘Your new name is going to be Doudrop,’ and I was like, ‘K.’ But I’m the type of person who takes an opportunity and runs with it. It doesn’t matter what it is. In this business, opportunities aren’t necessarily plenty, so I just took that ball and ran with it. It’s all about what you make of it. So far I think it’s been pretty good.”
WWE fans quickly realized that Doudrop also has another meaning according to the Urban Dictionary. That won’t stop her from taking full advantage of whatever she can.
It seems that Eva Marie and Doudrop were partnered up just to split later on. We’ll have to see how long that union lasts, but Eva Marie will have a lot on her hands as she faces Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam.
